Claustrophobia:
Some individuals may feel anxiety or fear of being confined in the chamber.
Temporary Vision Changes:
It may cause temporary changes in vision, such as nearsightedness (myopia).
Physical Fatigue:
The pressure changes in the chamber may cause the physical fatigue after the therapy.
Low Blood Sugar:
In individuals with diabetes, HBOT may cause a temporary drop in blood sugar levels.
How long is a hyperbaric oxygen therapy session?
It depends on for what purpose you use the hyperbaric chamber. We recommend 30 minites to 2 hours per session. If just for daily health care, you can use the hyperbaric chamber with normal pressure to do a short time session. But if you want to improve your disease, you can use the hyperbaric chamber with higher pressure and extend the session time. If you are new to use the hyperbaric chamber, we recommend to start the session with 20~30 minutes.

What are the precautions to use a hyperbaric chamber?
Following is some common precautions for hyperbaric oxygen therapy:
1. No flammable or explosive items can be brought into the chamber.
2. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy should be suspended if patients have fever, cold, abdominal pain or women’s menstruation.
3. In the course of treatment, some patients will have the symptoms of double ear distension and tinnitus, they should do swallowing action and speech to balance the pressure inside and outside of the tympanic membrane, and they can also pinch the nose and drum on their own, so that the Eustachian tube can ventilate on its own.
4. During the decompression at the end of treatment you will feel there is gas running out from the ear. This is a normal phenomenon. Do not hold your breath, just relax and do normal breathing.
5. In order to keep the chamber clean, spiting and littering are forbidden.
